I grew up on Bob Ross, had my fair share of art classes, and am now making a career doing what I love. The story isn't that simple, but the bigger picture is there's plenty more ground to cover.
More and more I'm discovering valuable implications of creative practice. The ability to create meaningful work, share and connect with others, or inspire and become inspired by others, makes it all worthwhile. No other moment has made me realize my work's value than seeing my little brother create his own short films with toys and actively ask me questions about my creative skillset. Seeing his mind at work and that same light I had in my eyes growing up – that's what it's all about for me.
